Easily narrow down your search with Motion Array’s filters to find the perfect fit for your project
Motion Array's Filters
On the left hand size of the music catalog you can find the below filters:
Use the sliding scale to filter the BMP and Duration:
- BPM: Beats per minute - determine estimated tempo of the song (slow, medium, fast)
- Duration: Length of the song - please note that some tracks contain multiple versions - The preview track combines all available versions, so the preview length is also longer.
Click the dropdown and select the appropriate filter. Under each of the following, you can select more than one filter to narrow down your search:
- Genre - For example: Corporate and Ambient.
- Mood
- Video theme
- Instrument
Under the following, you can only select one filter to narrow down your search:
- All Usage Rights - For example: All or Editorial Use or Commercial use.
- All Content ID Statuses
To include Stems or Free Assets in your search, select the checkbox next to them.
Please note: Free Asset filter is only available to user's on a Free plan.
Understanding Filter Types
When using filters in our platform, you may notice two different types of selection options: square checkboxes and circle radio buttons. These help you control how many filter options you can choose at once.
Filters with checkboxes (Multiple Selection)
Checkboxes appear as squares and allow you to select more than one option in a category.
Example:
If you're filtering by mood, you can select several options at once:
Use checkboxes when you want to combine multiple criteria to refine your results.
Filters with Circles (Single Selection)
Radio buttons appear as circles and allow you to select only one option from a list.

If you're filtering by usage range, you can only pick one:
Similar Songs
Motion Array provides a Similar song playlist along with each track. This....
To find the similar songs either click the title of a track or the similar song icon.
In this page you'll see three tabs, Similar Songs, Song versions, Licensing info
Similar songs tab : A list of all the similar songs
Song Versions: A list of song versions
Licensing Info: All relevant licensing information for the track
