Sales tax in the United States
In compliance with state and local tax laws, Motion Array purchases made by United States (US) customers may be subject to Sales Tax, based on the provided information when purchasing a subscription. The sales tax rate is determined by the state and local tax authority at the time of purchase. Tax rates vary between states and zip codes and can change over time based on local tax requirements.
Sales tax is a non-refundable tax, unless exemption applies

Sales Tax exemption in the United States
If your business is tax-exempt in a state where Motion Array charge Sales Tax, please contact us and provide the following documentation:
Valid tax exemption certificate
Valid tax ID
Territory/state in which the business is enrolled
Business Type - must match the information on the exemption document
Value-added tax (VAT) in the European Union
In compliance with European Union (EU) tax law, Motion Array purchases made by customers in the EU may be subject to VAT
VAT is a percentage of fee payable each billing cycle for services purchased by Motion Array’s customers.
In line with EU tax rules, the applicable VAT rate is determined by the local tax authority of the customer’s billing address at the time of purchase.
The VAT rate may change over time based on changes in address and local tax requirements, etc.

European Union Business VAT Exemption
If you are an incorporated business in the EU and you have a registered, valid EU VAT ID, you can enter it on the Checkout page and you will not be charged VAT (under Reverse Charge mechanism).
If you have left the VAT ID field blank, or the VAT ID is not valid when the purchase is made, VAT will be collected for this purchase.
If the account was recently renewed and the subscription cost is based on your old billing address, please contact us.
VAT in the United Kingdom
In compliance with United Kingdom (UK) tax law, Motion Array purchases made by UK customers are subject to VAT, based on the billing information when purchasing a subscription.
The applicable VAT rate is determined by the local tax authority (HMRC). The current standard VAT rate in the UK is 20%.
In the UK, Motion Array is required to collect VAT from all users, including businesses, with a billing address in the UK.

Goods and Services Tax (GST) in India
In compliance with Indian tax law, Motion Array purchases made by Indian customers may be subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST), based on the billing information when purchasing a subscription.
The GST rate is set by the local tax authority at the time of purchase and may change over time in accordance with local tax requirements. The current standard GST rate in India is 18%.

Indian Business Number GST exemption
If you are an Indian business in India with a registered, valid Indian Goods and Services Tax Identification Number (GSTIN), please enter it on the Checkout page and you will not be charged with GST.
If the GSTIN field is left blank or the GSTIN is invalid, GST will be collected for the purchase.
If the account was recently renewed and the subscription cost is without your GSTIN exemption, please contact us.
VAT in South Korea
Purchases may be subject to VAT depending on the billing information when purchasing a subscription.
The VAT rate is set by the local tax authority at the time of purchase, and can change over time, in accordance with local tax requirements. The current standard VAT rate in South Korea is 10%.

Korea Business Number BRN exemption
If your business in South Korea holds a valid Business Registration Number (BRN), from the South Korean National Tax Service, you may be eligible for a tax exemption.
In those cases, your invoice will exclude VAT under the Reverse Charge Mechanism. If the BRN field is left blank or the BRN is invalid, VAT will be collected for the purchase.

VAT in Kenya
In compliance with Kenya tax law, Motion Array purchases made by Kenya customers are subject to VAT, based on the billing information when purchasing a subscription.
The applicable VAT rate is determined by the local tax authority. The current standard VAT rate in Kenya is 16%.
In Kenya, Motion Array is required to collect VAT from all users, including businesses, with a billing address in Kenya.
VAT will be shown on a separate line on the Checkout page.

VAT in Israel
VAT rate is based on billing address and set by the local tax authority at the time of purchase.
Tax rates can change over time in accordance with local tax requirements. Your country is determined according to the billing information entered when purchasing or updating your Account information.

How to update your billing address and business tax identification number
On the Homepage, click the Profile icon.
Select My Account.
You will be on the Personal Details section of your Profile page.
Update billing information and/or VAT ID, as needed.
Click Save Changes.

If your account was renewed with a payment based on a billing address that isn't up-to-date, contact us.
I have a VAT exemption number in the UK. Why was I charged VAT?
You were charged VAT in the UK despite having an exemption number because Motion Array is legally required to collect VAT from all UK customers.
What happens if I don't have valid VAT ID
If you are unable to supply a valid VAT ID, Motion Array is required to collect the relevant local tax.
