If you're having trouble logging in to or using the Motion Array Hub, try the troubleshooting steps below.

1. Check your login method

The Motion Array Hub uses the same login method as the Motion Array website.

For example:

  • If you created your account using Google, sign in using Continue with Google.
  • If you created your account using Apple, sign in using Continue with Apple.
  • If you use an email address and password, make sure you're entering the correct credentials.

If you've forgotten your password, reset it and try signing in again.

2. Check your internet connection

Make sure you have a stable internet connection.

If possible, try connecting to a different network, such as a mobile hotspot, to rule out any network-related issues.

3. Disable your VPN, firewall, or antivirus

Temporarily disable any VPN, firewall, or antivirus software that may be preventing the Hub from connecting, then try again.

4. If you're seeing a "Failed to write to file" error (Mac)

This error usually means the Adobe Extensions folder is missing or doesn't have the correct permissions.

Check the Extensions folder

  1. Open Finder.
  2. Select Go from the menu bar.
  3. Hold the Option key and select Library.
  4. Navigate to:

Application Support > Adobe > CEP > extensions

If the extensions folder doesn't exist, create it.

Check folder permissions

  1. Right-click the extensions folder and select Get Info.
  2. Expand Sharing & Permissions.
  3. Ensure your user account has Read & Write access.
  4. If needed:
    • Click the lock icon and enter your Mac password.
    • Change your permissions to Read & Write.
    • Click the gear icon and select Apply to enclosed items.

Once complete, try the installation again.
