Titles and descriptions are very important when submitting an asset, both for our curator's team to be able to review your submission, but mainly for our users to be able to quickly find the assets they've been looking for.
This article contains guidelines and examples for you to be able to easily write up the description for your creative works.
Titles should catch the essence of your work in the most simple way - it should be short and to the point.
Titles become the URL - so make sure you choose right
Every word should be capitalized in titles
As a rule, avoid using terms for ethnicity (race) and religion in Titles and Descriptions. Instead, Titles and Descriptions can focus on the occupation, clothing, location or actions of people (eg. a woman in a hijab; a man at a mosque; a diverse business team; a bricklayer on a building site)
All descriptions should be written as separated words with a comma between words (example: Beach, ocean, view).
To create the bullet point add - (a hyphen) and add a space between the hyphen and your next word (example: - Ocean, Blue), please note that you will not see the bullet point symbols until you publish the asset.
The description should include bullet points with the following topics:
Maximum 5 words that represents the main topic of the footage/photo (see suggestions list below for footage and photos)
Location (exterior/interior, country, city, a specific monument name) (if relevant)
Additional techniques (green screen, time lapse, slow-motion, copy space…)
(if relevant)Camera movement (only for footage)
Composition
Angle (if relevant)
Color style (if relevant)
Specific date (For editorial only, if relevant)
